Is IELTS or OET a licensing exam?
No. They are English language tests. They do not license you to practise anywhere. What they do is satisfy the language requirement that some regulators, employers and immigration routes set.
Which one do nurses usually take?
Nurses heading for the UK usually take OET, because the material is clinical and the writing task is a referral letter rather than an academic essay. IELTS Academic is the alternative and is more widely accepted outside healthcare.
What score do I need?
It depends entirely on who is asking. The UK NMC looks for an overall 7.0 in IELTS Academic, with 6.5 permitted in writing, or grade B in OET with C+ permitted in writing. Employers and immigration routes set their own, sometimes lower, requirements. Confirm the target before you book the test.
How long is the result valid?
Commonly around two years, and the body receiving it may have its own view of how recent a result it will accept. Take it when it will still be live at the point you need it.
How long does IELTS / OET exam preparation take?
Most candidates complete IELTS / OET preparation with us in 4–8 weeks, depending on how much time they can give each week and how recently they qualified. Classes run online & offline, so you can prepare while working.
Can I prepare for IELTS / OET in Malayalam?
Yes. We teach in English, Malayalam, Hindi and Tamil. Many candidates follow the concepts in their own language and practise the exam itself in English, which is how the paper is set.

What documents will I need for IELTS / OET?

Yes. Our online and recorded classes cover the same material as the classroom batches, so candidates working in other states or already abroad follow the same course.
What documents do I need to get started?
A typical file is: your degree or diploma certificate, mark lists or transcripts for every year, your internship or course completion certificate, your council registration certificate, an experience certificate from each employer, your passport, and recent photographs. Some authorities also ask for a certificate of good standing. Send us what you have and we will tell you what is missing before anything is submitted.
The name on my certificates does not exactly match my passport. Is that a problem?
It is the single most common field-level problem we see. Passports often carry an expanded middle name or a surname that the college recorded as an initial, and verification treats the two as different people. It is fixable, usually with an affidavit or a name-equivalence document, but it has to be dealt with before submission rather than after a report comes back queried.
My name changed after marriage. Which name do I apply in?
Apply in the name on your passport, and supply the marriage certificate or name-change deed that links it to the name on your certificates. Your college and your first employer will still hold you under your earlier name, which is exactly what verification will find, so the linking document is what keeps the file clean.
